The new membership period from Jan. 1, 2019 is valid for one calendar year (January to December) irrespective of the date of joining.

At our annual Business meeting in Macau in June, it was decided that the AsiaTEFL would start from Jan. 1, 2019 the new membership system; the membership period will be valid for one calendar year (January to December) irrespective of the date of joining. For example, in the case of one year membership, no matter when you join, the membership will be ending on Dec. 31 in the year.
In order to make a smooth transition to the new membership period, we will make the following arrangements for those who have joined in 2018.
1. For those who joined AsiaTEFL for one year, before Jun. 30 2018, the membership will expire Jun. 29 2019. For example, if you joined Mar. 25 2018, your membership will expire in Mar. 24 2019. However, if you re-join one more year on Mar. 24 2019, it will expire in Dec. 31 2019 according to the new system. Those who participated in Macau Conference 2018 have got the discounted registration fee. And as you will pay in Mar. 24 2019, you will get a discounted registration fee in Thai Conference 2019.
2. For those who joined AsiaTEFL for one year, after Jul. 1. 2018, the membership will expire in Dec. 31 '2019'. For example, if you joined AsiaTEFL on Jul. 25 2018 your membership will end in Dec. 31 2019. You will get a discounted registration fee one time in 2019 Thai conference.
3. For those who joined for three or five year membership, how it works is the same as number 1 and 2. For example, if you joined 3 year membership on Apr. 12 2018, the expiration date will be Apr. 11 2021. Further if you re-join one year membership, it will end on Dec. 31 2021. If you joined after Jul. 1 2018 for 3 years, it will expire on Dec. 31 2021.
If you joined before 2018 for multiple years, you can refer to number 3 depending on whether your expiration date is before Jun 30 or after Jul 1.
